I found that other sites track the smaller qualifiers and semifinals, so I guess I will track them also. I have removed the filter I talked about below.

When I first started the scraper, I had it catching all of the tournaments. I did this to help build the size of the database so I had data to "play" with during the experimental phase. I no longer need that, so I have cut out all tournaments that are qualifiers, semifinals, etc... to larger tournaments. Freerolls will still be listed (only for Bodog), no other sites that I know of track the freerolls. Not tracking the freerolls on PokerStars or FullTilt makes sense, since one starts every few minutes and thousands of people enter. Bodog on the other hand only has about four or five freerolls a day. Also, people were getting points for cashing in the qualifiers and semifinals; this filter will not give points out for these tournaments anymore. Also points are not given for freerolls as stated earlier.

The points system takes four values for each tournament and calculates a point value for each person that made payout. The four inputs are: place, entrants, buy-in, and tournament type. Current point system: - Multiplier for different types of tournaments (rebuys, guarantees, etc...)
- Higher stakes, higher points
- Higher entrants, higher points
- Lower finishing place, higher points
- Points are not calculated for freerolls
- Points only given for cashing in a tournament
We are still developing the points system. The final formula will be posted here.

The Bodog scraper crashed due to Bodog releasing an update. The update changed the one part of Bodog's system that I thought they wouldn't change, so it was hard-coded in. Well, they changed it. I don't think any tournaments were missed, but the finish time for some of the tournaments is not correct. All player information and results are correct. Every time something like this happens, it allows me to find ways to prevent them from happening again. So over time, hopefully the scraper will be up 100% instead of 99%, .

Today we truncated the database. We added some new fields to the database to accurately calculate new statistics. The database needed to be emptied to remove the tournaments without the newly added fields. The site is still considered experimental, even though we believe everything is working 100%. We will be monitoring the tournaments and results for their accuracy over the next few days/weeks.
